Land Steward
The Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program (CBBEP) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Land Steward to join our team. CBBEP is looking for a team member with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to handle multiple tasks, and learn new skills to enhance the CBBEP Land Conservation and Stewardship Program. Must also be able to communicate with team members, volunteers, and numerous partners.
The position reports to the Director of Land Conservation and will serve as part of the CBBEP Land Conservation and Stewardship Program. Position will also work closely with CBBEP’s Conservation Specialist to help implement CBBEP property and habitat management goals.
Duties require work outdoors that is subject to south Texas weather conditions. Applicants should be aware that job duties will require some work outside of normal business hours and on weekends. Occasional overnight travel to attend meetings and training may also be required. Applicant must possess a valid Texas Driver License and have reliable transportation.

Cooperative Weed Management Area Intern
The CWMA Intern will serve as the TX Gulf Region Cooperative Weed Management Area (CWMA) Coordinator. They will be responsible for day-to-day administration of the CWMA, including correspondence with members, updating organizational documents, facilitation of CWMA meetings and events and administration of the CWMA social media accounts.
Position Duties:
· Facilitate monthly steering committee meetings
· Plan and facilitate two bi-annual meetings and workdays
· Identify and attend local events for educational outreach efforts (estimated 3 events)
· Host a large CWMA outreach event
· Create posts for social media to increase public awareness
· Communicate with property owners to provide information on Brazilian peppertree removal
· Work with the community for additional workdays and/or native plantings
· Assist with updating Brazilian peppertree distribution maps
· Assist with oversight of removal and restoration efforts
· Assist with report writing
· Other tasks as assigned
